Brian Shaw, OTR, Director of Therapy Operations
I love being able to make a difference in people’s lives whether physical, emotional or spiritual. I believe standing up for patients that need an active voice is the greatest service we can provide from an individual and facility level.
The reason I love OT is that it focuses on the functional capabilities of the patient and that allows us to center our therapy on what the patient desires to accomplish on a daily basis. Inpatient rehab at Mountain Valley gives us the opportunity to focus on a variety of these needs along with community based activities.
I received my bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida.
I am an avid disc and ball golfer along with enjoying anything outdoors including mountain biking, hiking, kayaking.
Mark Feltner, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy
I have always loved getting out of the pharmacy and interacting with patients. At Mountain Valley we do just that. From the first day you arrive to the day of discharge the pharmacists are directly involved with your care from pain management to managing your antibiotic therapy.
I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I then completed a Pharmacokinetic Residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, NE. From there I traveled to Arizona and worked on the Indian Reservation for 28 years before coming to Mountain Valley.
